Some pictures to illustrate how we are advancing into the fall season. The first widespread valley frost and freeze occuring on the 10th. Leaves on the high bogs, and cooler areas are advancing. In large, the hillsides are in the early stages of change, the bogs, and colder spots are further along. Areas that are predominantly oak, are predominantly green. Typical, and that will remain green yet for weeks to a month before they start. The hillsides in Canaan are on the verge of a major color change. The hints of color are all over. The cold nights should help speed it up.
