A variety of sky conditions, and temps throughout the region today.  Southeast flow persisted in areas while southerly component elsewhere. Savage Mt held fog into the afternoon under this setup. While western Garrett had some sun. Nearly a 20° temp spread across the county. Morgantown ran 70s. Savage Mt maxed out low 50s(through the time this was posted, may get a temp max before midnight, will update below if it occurs) While Canaan ran 60s. Some fog hung on in spots through the afternoon. Very remarkable once again the detail in the 3km nam model under these setups. Snowshoe began with some sun, fog built in, in the afternoon. Spotty showers existed throughout the area this a.m.

Bitt 2NW valley… max temp broke 60 shortly before midnight, and fell shortly after midnight. Max temp for 5th and 6th will be a little misrepresenting the actual daytime temps.

Day started with a good east flow. Colder air made it into the northern Alleghenies overnight with areas of frost to start the day. Clouds were banking in from the east. Temps in Garrett made it into the 30s while 40s were dominant across the Wv high ground. Once again the 3km nam did superb on temps today. At times Cabin Mt ran 5- near 8° colder Canaan Mt. Further north Central and eastern Garrett were similiar. That’s illustrated in the pics. One a modeled 3km nam run and another real time temps. In real time temps, at nightfall Savage Mt was sitting at 39° while Canaan Heights at 49° Sone Wv valleys low 50s. Western Garrett upper 40s. At 6pm at Bitt 2NW valley I was at 41°. Rain broke out midday southern Alleghenies and mid afternoon northern Alleghenies.

Some fog in Garrett after nightfall.. Around 8pm.

Rainfall in general this afternoon, evening in the .1 to .4 range once again. Similiar to yesterday.

Day started off cloudy, scattered showers pushed in, in the morning hours. Pockets of steady showers. Rainfall looks to have been .1 to .4 in general. As cooler air seeped in, the fog progressively became more dense. Low visibilities for a time, as seen from Canaan cam and that held through nightfall. The dense fog in Garrett was in process of lifting around nightfall. Snowshoe didnt appear to have fog at 3pm.

Pockets of colder valleys this a.m. My Bitt 2NW valley min reached shortly after midnight and rose and fell again before dawn. Clouds took over for periods of the day and some widely scattered very light showers occured mainly north. Skies were mainly clear, with only a few clouds region wide by dusk.

Only snow patches in Garrett left were plow piles.

Cloudy overall today with dim sun and gew very light showers. Perhaps a ice pellet early in northern Alleghenies. SE breeze across Garrett, and central to eastern Garrett remaining cooler with Savage Mt holding 44 for max.  Snow cover dwindled today. Few light patches here and there across Garrett. At 9:30-10a.m Canaan Mt and Mts around Canaan holding decent snow cover up high.

To note, typical situation, setup of 3km nam being far superior to Hrrr with incoming warmth.

Bitt 2NW valley 50° max was very brief in afternoon. Most of day 40-45.
