The Glades  -12 on one, -13 on the other mins only

Overnight temps fell below 0 in the colder valleys. Temps bounced back and forth as light breezes at times mixed in. Breezes and cloud cover pushed in at daybreak. A period of snowshowers mid morning and widely scattered fine flakes throughout the remainder of the day with breaks of sun as well.

Trace of snow fell in the a.m hours

*The min at The Glades fell to -12, -13 overnight. I think that difference is simply a minor difference in the sensors as I put both together. Minor overall as its likely a .5 or less difference. The min though I believe was likely pre midnight based on nearby recording at Bitt 2NW valley. Likely though fell under -5 again for today’s date.

Conditions appeared more prime for cooling in Garrett, Preston than elsewhere. Although good in Tucker.

Very cold start. Overnight the highground was running coldest until the predawn hours. 2-3a.m. Then decoupling occured. The 3km nam depicted winds going calm at that time and also indicated some cloud cover coming in around or just before dawn, which occured.  It performed well on that aspect. While I favor the 3km nam in most instances on temps, this setup is not a strongsuit of the model. Euro did super on location of the coldest and extremity of it. Skies were partly cloudy today. Dim at times, brighter at times. The high elevated areas under 4000′ actually ran coldest on max temps vs the areas above 4000′. Just a smidgen milder(less cold) up high for awhile today.

Temps on The Glades near Bittinger this a.m. Thermometers were at a 4 foot height.

This map below is also underdone, but gives a good idea of where the snow mainly was. Radar indicated 0 snow during the most intense periods even and models all were indicating 1″ +/-.
