Mar 7(Sat)

Light steady snow through about 10:30am. Then it ended and skies began to break and went sunny in the afternoon. Very low dewpoints. Some accumulation occured from 7am through the ending period in Garrett. It’s the time of the year, where as soon as that snow ends you need to take an immediate obs. If you are late, and record in a area with any type of sun where you record, you will lose that 1/4″ off your snowboard rather rapidly. I took my obs immediately as the snow ended. In multiple cases, I’ve noticed area observers missing the 7am through 10am snowfall and that’s likely due to failing to take a ending time obs and it either blows or melts off. I digress.

Bittinger 2nw Valley

That type of snow was pretty much continous from 7am through 10-10:30am. It did accumulate more than a trace. .

Light snow continuing but slowly diminishing overnight and through daybreak; occasional periods of blowing snow. The last snowflakes ended mid morning then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon but still cold, high 28F.
