Mainly clear, cold start, extremely dry air mass in place. Beautiful mild day. Areas that have snow, little melt on northerly slopes and shady areas due to the dry air mass. At 45-50°, some spots on Weiss Knob were powder at 1:30-2pm
Clear and cold overnight, low 17F here but near zero in the valley frost pockets, then mostly sunny and sharply warmer, high 55F. Saw two robins this afternoon. Daffodils have poked through in the garden

Light steady snow through about 10:30am. Then it ended and skies began to break and went sunny in the afternoon. Very low dewpoints. Some accumulation occured from 7am through the ending period in Garrett. It’s the time of the year, where as soon as that snow ends you need to take an immediate obs. If you are late, and record in a area with any type of sun where you record, you will lose that 1/4″ off your snowboard rather rapidly. I took my obs immediately as the snow ended. In multiple cases, I’ve noticed area observers missing the 7am through 10am snowfall and that’s likely due to failing to take a ending time obs and it either blows or melts off. I digress.

That type of snow was pretty much continous from 7am through 10-10:30am. It did accumulate more than a trace. .
Light snow continuing but slowly diminishing overnight and through daybreak; occasional periods of blowing snow. The last snowflakes ended mid morning then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon but still cold, high 28F.

Early round of moderate snow at daybreak put down around a half inch and ended just prior to the 7am recordings. In areas, my area, and most areas under 3000′, this melted off until some heavier pockets began showing up midday. I never melted off after that, but many areas did. Snow/melt/snow/melt. Evening and into the over night activity increased.

A awesome sunrise, quickly giving way to some showers. Those subsided in the afternoon for a period, before more pushed through mid afternoon. Creating plenty of social media rainbow pics. Later on, some thunderstorms pushed through that contained first soft hail, then also snow around 9:30-10pm, didn’t stick.
Bittinger 2nw Valley
No new snowfall, although snow was in the air around 9:30-10pm. About the time of the rapid drop on the daily temp graph.
Periods of rain and mild; a brief thunderstorm with pea hail in late afternoon. Turning colder late in the day.
