The Northern Canaan Valley Refuge site vs other cold locations in the east
- The 28° on the 17th appears to have been the coldest recorded June temp in the east this month(an unofficial 27.8° was recorded on Alder Bog at the Sods the same morning. Refer to post on the 17th for more–
- Mt. Washingtons min was 30
- With 32.2 on the 24th being rounded to 32° as the other sites are done, 4 mornings of freezing or below is the most in the east with that occurence
- Appears like the station had the 3rd lowest overall avg min temp in the east. Behind Mt. Washington and Colebrook NH. Colebrook never recorded a temp lower than 35°
- Saranac Lake briefly touch 32° twice with the occurence only lasting minutes
