  • Data recorded with https://www.onsetcomp.com/products/data-loggers/mx2304
  • in a NWS MMTS shelter with the mx2304 logger at a 2m Height
  • Precip recording times were generally 5-6pm. Where you see a + symbol. That simply means that rainfall continued beyond recording time for the date. If no data is filled in and only a + sign filled in, I was not available at recording time and recorded the multi day tally at the date filled in.
  • snowfall- a 7am recording and boardsweep and a 5pm boardsweep is typical unless detailed otherwise. If snowfall ceased at 1pm and temps were warming, etc, a recording was always done in a detailed attempt to capture the instantaneous max snowfall for the date.
  • the station sees a good amount of morning sun and filtered afternoon sun. It’s not heavily impacted on peak summer days with direct mid to late afternoon solar radiation feedback issues. As it is a semi protected area, naturally aspirated, some heated surface temps radiating back would otherwise impact the reading. That’s not the case. That helps give a more accurate actual ambient temp reading.
  • Located in a sheltered valley 2m NW of Bittinger
