Spruce Knob

  • Spruce Knob, the time is 8:14pm as I write this. Sitting atop Spruce Knob in my truck at the parking lot. Listening to the wind, the very strong gusty wind whipping through the Spruce as snow and ice pellet mixture fall and hitting against the truck. Nollie dog a bit anxious, but settling down on the back seat. The contrast of these weather events from the low elevations to above 4000′ and tonight above 4500′ so far makes the night a good weather night to take in. Also thinking back to the other nights spent up here in similar conditions. Some may hate it, but it draws me to it.
