Upcoming Snow
1:49pm February 18, 2025
■ A 2 part event, the main event puts down its best accumulations in the southern parts of the area Wednesday. Lighter amounts as you work north.
▪︎ Let’s look at the 12z runs of the Euro and GFS.
▪︎ 12z Euro Precip
• Part 1
Pushes in to Wv in the early morning hours and is mostly out by afternoon.
Snowfall Amounts for the high ground off the Euro through Wednesday 7pm. Any shift north could bump these up a little bit.

- Garrett County T-1″
- Tucker County 1-2″
- Pocahontas 2-4″
▪︎Then the upper energy with accompanied upslope pushes through Wednesday night through Friday morning. I see some putting out maps that stop on Thursday which captures part 1 and only part of part 2. It should be ran through Friday morning.
▪︎ Euro totals through Friday morning

■Additional Tallies on top of tomorrow across the high ground.(Lean low to mid, good performance gets closer to the high end)
- Garrett County 2-5″
- Tucker County 3-6″
- Pocahontas 3-6″
■ Now using the 12z GFS
▪︎ 12z GFS precip
▪︎ Part 1
Pushes in to Wv later tonight and wraps up by tomorrow afternoon. GFS snowfall

● Snowfall across the high ground through Wednesday 7pm. Any shift north could bump up the numbers a bit.
- Garrett County T-1″
- Tucker 1-3″
- Pocahontas 3-5″
■ Part 2 Wednesday night through Friday morning snowfall off the 12z GFS

▪︎ A bit more impressive vs the Euro. A blend would be a good route.
● Additional from part 2
- Garrett County 3-5″
- Tucker County 4-7″
- Pocahontas 4-8″
■ Blending those multi day tallies through Friday. Leaning low to mid and a good performance leans towards the high end:
Garrett County 3-6
Tucker County 5-10″
Pocahontas County 7-12″
▪︎ Using those 3 locations for north to south examples. If you’re in Somerset, Preston, Randolph, Grant, Pendleton you can sort of fit yourself in by looking at the snowfall output off the models.
■ DEEP CREEK DUNK SATURDAY

● Temps 29-33°

● High clouds rolling in the afternoon, which doesn’t block out the sun. So, expect lots of sun and a chilly typical late February day.

● Breezy, but not too terrible, under high pressure 20-25mph gust in the afternoon.
