First Weekend Of Spring

●-The first weekend of spring has arrived and it will feature some unsettled periods, that may provide some light rain and high elevation snow showers today.

●- Temps starting off today in 30s and low 40s this morning for most with the exception of the deeper valleys off to the east that remained calm and clear most of the night fell off in to the 20s. Lets look…

●- Temps today not going anywhere and as colder air pushes across aloft, any periods of precip can chill the high ground off while it’s occuring

●- Off to our west some light precip is occuring and that will push east, also fighting some dry air as well

●- Some of this will reach the ground as light rain and or high ground light snow showers .

●- precip amounts are looking like around a tenth or less and only spotty snow would stick in areas where a brief moderate pocket would occur knocking temps back and then melts rapidly as it passes

●- Colder air pushing in aloft with accompanied dry air is what will give the opportunity for some light snow showers/ice pellets across the ridge tops to mix in. 5000′(850temps) off the HRRR. 0°C = 32°F, so when you see that Grey color push in, toss in a period of moderate precip you can chill the low levels pretty rapidly, especially those higher Wv tops. Minor deal, so just don’t be shocked to see some locations with a brief burst of winter

●- Winds, surprise surprise..increase and gusty across the ridges today

●- Sunday will offer some unsettled weather late and that’s mainly a cold showery event.
