- Reds(heath)- just past peak but still really nice. Especially so with the right sun angle illuminating the red hues. Some areas have really thinned out the leaves remaining on the bushes
- Maples-For the most part I’d lean to peak on the maples across the top. There are ones that have lost a large portion of leaves, there are ones with some green yet that should hold on to max out in combo with the Aspen over the next 7-10 days Then a large portion of them are at the point its as good as theyll get as the begin dropping more and more leaves by the day
- Birch- for the most part they are at there peak golden yellow with some variances in location. This week should max them for color
- Aspen-some areas of good color, the yellows will deepen yet over the upcoming 7-10 days as well as the ones with a remaining green hue will flip yellow
- Beech- some low color. Looking out on the hillsides the dull greenish spots is a large portion beech, with some locust, hickory.
- Cherry-limited color as many of the cherry have dropped their leaves
- Oak- the top of the east side that contains lots of oak have turned a yellowish color. Not quite to their peak. Then as you drop down the east side the more green they remain
- overall- with red heaths, maples, birch being most dominant the colors are a high peak and ready to go just past. That said, as some maples retain color and the remaining ones holding a bit of a greenish hue, they should come along and time it out to match the peak of the Aspens to hold some good fall color as we near mid month. The reds of the heath will continue to become less by the day but there all always remaining holdouts of reds to provide nice spots of color.
