Dolly Sods Extended Edition September 28, 2023

THE FOG ZONE ON THE EAST SIDE TO SUN ZONE ON THE WEST SIDE. MOISTURE AND LOW CLOUD DECK PUSHING UP THE ALLEGHENY FRONT ON A SOUTHEAST FLOW AND HANGING ACROSS THE HIGH PLATEAU AND DRYING OUT AS IT DOWNSLOPES ON THE WEST SIDE. THE SUN WAS OUT IN CANAAN, WHILE FOG SOCKED IN BEAR ROCKS. MODELING ILLUSTRATED THIS EXTREMELY WELL. THE HRRR WAS NEARLY SPOT ON. QUITE REMARKABLE. THOSE IMAGES BELOW…
